ACCOMMODATION: There are 496 rooms, including 54 suites, most of them with a breathtaking view. The new and elegant decoration has been designed to offer guests all facilities and comfort in harmony with the local culture. Classic City View - Located from the 9th through to the 17th floor, the décor in these bedroms portrays a tropical image in bright colors, with all rooms refurbished in 2000. Rooms are available with either Queen or Twin beds. Ideal for both the business and leisure traveller, features include interactive TV, modem port, minibar, in room safety deposit box, air conditioning, radio/alarm clock, voice mail in different languages, hairdryer, working desk and telephone in bathroom. Junior Suites - Located at the corner of the hotel, these suites offer a panoramic view to the Sugar Loaf, Copacabana Beach and the Ocean. Suites are available with King beds. Executive Suites - Recently renovated and luxuriously decorated, the Executive Suites are all located on the corner of the hotel and on the highest floors. These suites offer all the facilities to exceed the expectations of the executive VIP business traveller, with breathtaking Ocean Front and Corcovado Peak views. All Executive Suites extend to 65 square metres, and have a large living room, a separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms (one with ocean view). The suites are equipped with a Hi-Fi system with Cd Player, Video, 2 televisions, VIP amenities, modem port, minibar, in room safety deposit box, air conditioning, radio/alarm clock, voice mail in different languages, hairdryer, 2 telephone lines and a large working area. Presidential Suite - Located on the top floor of the hotel, our two Presidential Suites are the highest suites in Copacabana. With panoramic views of the Ocean, these 100 square metre suites feature a large and comfortable living room, a separate bedroom with a king-size bed, two luxurious marble bathrooms (one with a sea view), separate toilets, shower and a marble hydro-massage tub as well as double vanities. For matchless cuisine, Le Saint Honoré restaurant combines top-of-the-tower views of Rio with menus under the direction of Paul Bocuse, the French chef. Guests may also dine by the swimming pool at the Cafe Fleuri restaurant, or at the Cafe Fleuri Bar Terrace, or meet for drinks in the Bar de la Paix, and then sample the rhythms of Rio at the many clubs lining Avenida Atlantica just outside.

MEETINGS & EVENTS: Le Meridien Copacabana has 21 rooms, fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and a total of 2000 square metres spread out over four floors, specially planned for holding conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops weddings, parties and other events.

Most of our large working rooms have a view of the sea, natural lighting, several telephone lines and Internet dataports, as well as comfortably accommodating up to 800 people in pleasant surroundings. On the 37th floor, there are also three large, panoramic rooms with a spectacular view of Copacabana Beach.
