Poppy's on the Lagoon is set on the shores of Erakor Lagoon and purpose designed to take advantage of the cooling breeze of the S.E trade winds. The Lagoon provides safe waters for swimming and water sports, and the gardens have been designed to show off a wide range of tropical plants. It is hard to believe when relaxing at Poppy's on the Lagoon that it is only a 15 minute walk (or a 2 min bus or taxi ride) to Port Vila's charming town centre, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops.

ACCOMMODATION

  • One & two bedroom Lagoon View Suites: These suites have spacious living and dining, kitchen, bathroom and private balconies overlooking a pool and the lagoon.
    Bedding configuration: 1 Bedroom Suite - up to 2 people in 1 Queen bed.
    2 Bedroom Suite - Up to 4 people in 2 Queen beds or 1 Queen & 2 Single beds.
  • Two bedroom Lagoon View & Beachfront Cottages: These cottages are full sized houses. They have three bedrooms, two bathrooms and large kitchen, dining and lounge with raked timber ceilings. Huge verandahs are right on the beach or on the hill overlooking the lagoon.
    Bedding configuration: Up to 6 people in 2 Queen beds & 2 Single beds.
  • Garden Bungalows: These bungalows with their high wooden ceilings have their own kitchen, dining and sitting areas with a private patio looking onto mature tropical gardens and a pool area.
    Bedding configuration: Up to 2 people in 1 Queen bed or 2 Single beds.
  • Beachfront Spa Bungalow: These romantic bungalows have been designed for couples who want to get away from it all. They have a private spa looking over the beach, kitchen & dining facilities, leather sofa etc.
    Bedding configuration: Up to 2 people in 1 Queen bed.
  • Tradewinds Studios: 5 individual studio bungalows that are fully screened and feature extensive use of tropical timbers.
    Bedding configuration: Queen bed or 2 singles

HOTEL FACILITIES & SERVICES: Food starter pack - Supermarket provisions waiting in the room to help guests get started. Poppy's Shop - Beer, wine, soft drinks, ice creams, souvenirs etc available at the office. Laundry Service - Dirty laundry whisked away and returned washed and folded. Babysitting Service - To allow parents to enjoy a night out or go on a tour on their own. Masseuse Service - Just bliss!

RESTAURANT: Poppy's & Tradewinds do not have their own restaurant but guests are welcomed at Mangoes Restaurant only 400 meters up the road where their meals can be charged back to their room account. Weekly Island and theme nights are a great way to mix with other guests. There are also a large number of restaurants and cafes close by.

CHILDREN: Poppy's on the Lagoon offers the perfect solution for families on holiday in Vanuatu. This lagoon side resort provides a safe yet fun environment for families to interact, and the spacious self contained accommodation allows for all the convenience of a "home away from home". As well as the lagoon and the family swimming pool to keep the children entertained, there are also a wide selection of children's videos and a climbing gym for the smaller children. Whilst there is not a kids club, the staff love the opportunity to baby sit - so parents can get away for a tour or dinner on their own if they wish.
